On my 60th birthday a couple of years back when in trying to open a bottle of Petrus 82 I dropped it on the kitchen floor and it smashed !
I had saved that precious bottle for years and was earmarked to be drunk on my 60th .
You should have seen me on my knees on the kitchen floor !!

That's why you should always have a bottle in reserve ....

Chateau Petrus 1982 isn't a vintage that one has reserves available !!

Miltiades dear .. have you read of the countless studies carried out with label-swappings on wines, which indisputably prove even the cheapest plonk would meet with approval from the best-nosed wine-snob if the "price was right" or the Chateau label correct! ....

There is a water shortage .. it's not a lie ... but it's not the same in all areas.

We have had no cuts around the Polis area.

Our village has a natural spring and the pressure has not dropped. So we still have natural spring water on tap ... where else can you get that for barely £50 per year

Regarding the snake .. if you missed the finale, my German cousin-in-Law removed the snake with BBQ tongs (safely deposited in mint border), so we did not have to resort to the water treatment.

She has been duly rewarded with a bottle of Moet
