Room 101 .....

Postby Oracle » Wed Jul 09, 2008 3:52 pm

This was the torture chamber in Orwell’s book “1984” where people were forced to confront their worst nightmares or phobias.

The British TV version had celebrities assigning pet hates to Room 101, like e.g. ..... Pop Tarts, Alarm Clocks etc.

One of our own CF Celebrities like Miltiades may well condemn traffic wardens to Room 101.

What would you happily discard to Room 101?

I know the concept of the show, but not having seen it for many years now; kindly remind us how many 'pet hates' we can actually send to Room 101 please.

Was it five things? I'll nominate (in no order of preference):

1. Jazz. - Four people playing different songs at the same time.
2. Noisy/annoying neighbours. - Especially students.
3. Benefit scroungers - Get a job you lazy scum.
4. Amy Winehouse and Pete Doherty. - Get clean or die. Either is good.
5. The 'Pac-Man flag' on the mountains in Cyprus. - No explaination necessary.

Unburden yourself completely. But don't worry about lists.

Let them pour forth as they enter your mind.

There's always a new one, every day, in my life!

I hate lists, but I would agree with the all the items on yours!

Except for Van Morrison ... I adore his music. Do you count him as Jazz of the tuneless noise variety?

Bad grammar in general

Racists
