you are still talking who is legal or illegal .

there will be 2 equal states in Cyprus . single identity , single sovereignty.

every states will control their own airports or customs .
every state will be free how to rule their own states but for economy and regulations they will work together .

no more ROC or TRNC sirs .................. New fedareal states of Cyprus ....

what we are talking now :!:

You're confusing a federation with a confederation Halil. The Federal Republic will be a continuation of the Republic of Cyprus with a strong central govt controlling all ports and customs.

Until then, Tymbou (ercan) is an illegal airport.

FYI roseandchan I advise you to go to the airport website and have a look at the new airport approaching completion. The closest comparison can only be that of the Dubai International

DT,
i am not confusing . solution will be based on 2 equal states. There will be no ROC or TRNC . Wait and see .......

you have rights to reject it .

Has Talat got the guts to do so.

Perhaps I am misinformed, but I understand that these flags are financed by a private organisation. Here is their website:

http://www.kktcbayrak.org/

If so, there is nothing that Talat can do, short of declare this organisation to be illegal.

You mean like what often happens in Turkey, right Tim.

If innocent civilians can be murdered for demonstrating against occupation, and no charges ever filed against the murderers, the laws in the north cannot be taken too seriously, that the flags cannot be removed, just because it is operated by a "private" group. All Talat needs to do is to propose a law that outlaws Graffiti on natural landscapes........simple really.

I always thought, that having one's flag on the ground is a bad thing. A fallen flag is usually saved before fallen soldiers. So I don't get the idea of having the flag on ground where people are able to walk all over it, Birds and Animals doing their business on it, and so on. I always thought, that if you love your flag, you keep it off the ground, and not put in on the ground.

I know it is meant to be a political message to the GC's, but by only those who can't think too well. It is the "little mans" inferiority complex thing in my opinion.

We are not some dissatisfied customers that need patronising goodwill gestures ....

This is a Nation of people we are talking about, that have been on this island thousands of years and have never extended their borders to invade or trouble anyone else.

No gestures required.

Only a solution.

Which is total and complete removal of the invader Turkey, and all her people and any TC hangers on that have doubts about their position as RoC citizens.

Small gestures in time will lead to greater things. Like a SOLUTION.

Tim thank you for your coment. There are more things that can be done, I think Greek forces need to go also. If we are in the mood for unification lets play real. All Greek forces go. On the TC side all Turkish forces go, TC ared forces to stay so long as there is Cypriot national Guard. Perhaps some Turkish troops can stay to make the numbers equal to that of the national guard.

Property is not such a huge issue, thousands of refugees will not return. Get a register on the RoC to identify those who will not return so you have real numbers. No point in up rooting TC's if GC's aren't to return.

from the north i think that they should stop estate agents selling exchange land until a solution.
from the south allow direct flights into ercan,( not via turkey )

what do other members think?

A good will gesture could on the part of the TC community could be handing Varosha and or the Armenian Cypriot section of Nicosia over to the UN plus giving the Maronites there villages back. If this happened the ROC should open the ports to EU Ships for trading.

Mr Armenian Cypriot, what odds would you give on Armenia beating Turkey in their upcoming world cup qualifier, more importantly what odds would you give on Turkey's president taking up the Armenian presidents invitation to fly to Armenia and watch the match live????
There appears to be some move between the turkish and armenian governments at the moment.

Al its great to see both sides putting there pride aside and do what is right for both parties. Beating Turkey, even Yerevan will be verty difficult. If Armenia is lucky they will grab a draw at home. Armenia isnt that strong at football. The best Armenian footballers played for France and the USSR. I can see the president of Turkey showing up for the match and inviting the Armenian president for the rematch.

...you are close hallil, "2 equal states in Cyprus (AND), (a) single identity , single sovereignty"

Bicommunal; three Governing bodies.

You may be operating your own airports, just like the "Greeks", however the State will serve to set a standard to which both communities will abide.

...and it is called the United Republic of Cyprus.
