I don't think he is petty Miltiades ... and you know him as well as I do!

I am sure he is happy to fight you fairly ...... and most ably (IMHO).

I'm not sure why things have taken such a bad turn, but I know I am fed up with a lot of newer forumers here too! (most are fakes, mimicking others) ... but then I have other many diversions that keep me satisfied where the Forum fails. I have never been committed to just one thing!

But Get Real! is for real ... totally devoted to Cyprus! .....

I read and post fast, so I don't actually spend much time here (even though I post profusely). But GR! spent quality time here ..... his threads were really well researched .... I learnt to stay off them and not trash them as much as I could help ...

But it is sad to see some of the pathetic responses he got, from poorly comprehending posters ..... when GR! actually made sense, spoke with facts, data, logic and reason.

There are not many forumers able to truly comprehend what that degree of commitment to a cause or belief entails. Still able to use logic. You are passionate about Cyprus, but that's where it ends. You do not possess GR!'s nous-ability ... seeing things as they are. Things are urgent, pressing and GR! felt that .. and it must have been frustrating when your lack of logic and blindness was bottomless.

You allow yourself to be used for the Turkish cause which GR! never did (except for a brief anti-Hellenic period) .... and we know there are more Turk-TC posters now who rallied behind setting you up against GR!. ( I have more to say on that matter, but not now! )

He is a truly great scholar of the CyProb ... where you are just a loudmouth IMHO and I am just a concerned mother who battles with ideas of what will be good for Cyprus in the long run, and what is good for my immediate family. I am just Mrs Average Concerned Cypriot Mum.

GR! is learned, respectable leadership material and a lot of us are going to suffer further without his beacon!

He also possess a lot of natural charm and you could see how many newcomers homed in on him for fun ..... and he supplied that too!

If anyone was worthy of Admin's time for a little gentle persuasion towards returning; Get Real! is that person .... please!

Dear CF members,

I wasn’t planning to write a “goodbye” letter but I feel obliged to respond to the many people that have sent me emails (and pms I found today) enquiring about my return, and some have done so on more than one occasion. I very much appreciate the friendship and support these people have given me so a very big Thank You to them from GR.

As I’ve already mentioned to some, the many days away from the forum sure kills the tempo and I really can’t be bothered picking up from where I left off. Perhaps the forum needs new blood to take it through this new Cypriot presidency and changing times, or perhaps I’m just looking for an excuse to slip away and try new things in my virtual life…

There’s a beginning and an end to everything in life and that includes our stay here on this forum and I feel that my time here has come to an end for I’ve had more than my fare share of say. Feel free to refer back to my CyProb threads if needed because I’ve spent countless hours researching and writing about myriads of CyProb issues that may come in handy in your debates and if you ever need help or guidance about a particular CyProb issue I’d be more than happy to assist if you write to me via email. (get_very_real at yahoo)

Perhaps, years from now the world will come to acknowledge and respect the millions of Cypriots that have come and gone over the millenniums on this island, and realize what I realized when I seriously contemplated what they had lived for and what they died for… and see that they deserve as much as anyone else in this world to be recognized and acknowledged as a people and as the nation that they have EARNED through their long and sorrowful history.

Finally, a big thank you to the many people I’ve had good debates with over the last couple of years and to the board owners/administrators for having me.

I am very sad to hear that you will not be returning to CF as you have so much to offer.

I wish to thank you for all your diligently researched contributions to CF. Contributions which have been very useful to me in learning more about Cyprus, my Cypriot Heritage and which allowed me to put myself in the shoes of real Cypriots that live in Cyprus for an hour or two each day, and helped me to better understand Cypriot Culture, politics and the Cyprus Problem. Unfortunately, there are many things that hurt me about my people. In this materialistic day and age where even the Cyprus Problem takes a back seat to money and greed, it was very refreshing that YOU went against this grain, and the way you uncompromisingly fought for the truth and justice despite the many challenges you faced from lesser persons who did not understand or twisted the deeper messages you transmitted.

I thank you for your many informative and intellectual contributions which I valued so much in my thirst for knowledge about Cyprus.

I refuse to say goodbye as I hope that 1 day you will return. You are a rare Cypriot, and the kind which Cyprus desperately needs.
