I had TC friends in the UK from about 1971 to "1974" ... my very best friend was TC. We swapped Elvis pictures, went to the cinema together, I helped her with homework (thick ). I thought everything was great. I even ignored a GC friend for this TC friend ... Then after the invasion she came into school wearing a necklace with "Baby Cyprus belongs to Mother Turkey" written around a little Cyprus. I tried to make her see reason and it became obvious she had been indoctrinated that the Turks really had a right to Cyprus.

In fact she got so violent when I and a few clever Brits tried to make her realize this was wrong, that she attacked me and she was then suspended for nearly a week from school, by an intelligent British Headmistress.

The other TC friend was expelled earlier for constantly getting into aggressive fights with all the GC girls, a few Brits and African girls.

The Turks are aggressive ... their women too.

The more you try to reason with them ... the more their violent side comes out. For me that has become a fact of life now. Only one was reasonable, but he never felt Turkish ( I am convinced he has been killed for anti-Turkishness now).

My father was like Miltiades, always the TCs are brothers ... his "best friend " in north London was a TC neighbour ... until shortly after 1974 when they suddenly started visiting Cyprus more. Then this TC man gave up working as a builder, and lived off the fat profits of what he had gained in the north of Cyprus.

If we tell the truth, painful as it may be ... we have been screwed by the Turks big time ...
