I'm curious on how Christofias came up with the 50,000 number. Is it because, by allowing 50,000 new citizenship's to the settlers, and I'm sure it will first go to those who are born in the "trnc" and to their parent, the other parent being a TC of course, before moving to parents who are both settlers to reach the 50,000 quota.

Is it because, that's roughly how many Pontic Greeks are in the RoC and their offsprings who are born there, that these people will also be made citizens of Cyprus as a counter measure to the north's population increase.
