here is the website to have a look at...http://www.platinumplanet.co.za/

this might sound sarcastic, but i do appreciate the brutal honesty...i am not wanting to do in any one in with dodgy deals as i was going to purchase one of these myself. if you guys send me email adresses i can send you some info that we have been given to use as selling tools...

by the way, naivety is not one of my qualities, hence the reason for asking advice, for those of you being constructive, thank you

You are stepping into a huge market David. OK maybe untapped in SA but has been running at huge profit accross Europe for the past decade. There is a genral slowdown at the moment, hence maybe why investment is been marketed more widely.
My point is how can you sell an idea, plot, property without first doing some homework. Seeing, surely is the way to get to know your product !!

Where do your profits go?

Not to Cyprus, I'll bet!

You say you live in Capetown., yet your e-mail address is a Zambian one.
'
You have never been in Cyprus. I'll bet you werent born in either South Africa or Zambia either.

Your profits go directly into the pockets of yourself and your corporate, stateless cronies.

Do something that benefits someone other than yourself.

i was born in Mowbray maternity hospital, approx 5 km outside cape town city centre, i live in Table View which is 21km outside cape town, my wife is Half greek , her surname was Giagtzis, her family originates from Limnos, my daughter is three. i have never even left the country because of financial constraints, (exchange rate) we deal with a company called Domus island in cyprus...the company responsible for rentals is coastal property solutions.
please go onto my website and look up properties i am selling and then we can talk....never been to Zambia by the way.

i don't understand why the aggresive attitude...anyone else want to help me out here????

The consensus view I have obtained in a small straw poll is, "Who the h*ll would want to rent a house in Pyla?" If you are looking for all year round rental income, you want to be in either Nicosia or Limassol, both large cities with diverse economies and plenty of year-round employment, so that there are actually people with jobs looking for accomodation.

I would recommend that you try to get back copies of the Cyprus Weekly and find the regular articles by estate agent Antonis Loizou. I know somewhere he has exploded the myth touted by certain cowboy developers that they can guarantee fantastic levels of rental income which prove to be empty promises once you have parted with your money.

A question for you David.

Who flys to Cyprus from SA, how much are the flights and how frequent are they? I don't recall seeing many flights from SA

I apologise for saying things that were not true about you, and at which I only guessed. Not at all fair, and I am sorry.

My aggression stems from the fact that we are philosophically poles apart. Not your fault, mea culpa.

My ideas are . . you live in a country, [and probably live well, and why not, no one wants to be poor,] where still the overwhelming majority have nothing. You are obviously intelligent and well educated . . why, oh why can't you, and all the other bright, shining young ones like you , put your energies toward DOING/MAKING a constructive contribution to the life of YOUR country. Instead of buying/selling in a far off country, shuffling money around in luxury appartments, when your fellow-countrymen live in shantytowns.

Not meant as a personal attack, just a heartfelt sentiment.

I think some of you have lost the plot on how this works .

It's purely a investment opportunity ~ nobody will be travelling from SA to Cyprus ~ well not unless they really want to ~ the buyer apparently will have to do nothing except watch his investment grow ~ there's even a management company to look after your interests and arrange lettings etc.

Until David sends the details I can only suppose this is the way it works ~ the client buys a apartment and supposedly sits on it until it's increased in value and in the meantime the rental income will pay most of the mortgage / bond ~ in theory it's a great idea and gets the investors banging on the door for a piece of the action .

As I said before there's no better way to sell than stating that most of your costs will be met by the rental.

Personally David I believe you are selling something that isn't going to work ~ the 10 years guaranteed rental is unrealistic for a start ~ read my posts again and think about it ~ carefully

I've pm'd you my Email address David and would love to see what you have been given by your business partners in Cyprus.

I would love to hear how he can guarantee the rental for 10 years. Perhaps you can shed some light David?
