Cyprus Any advice or help would be great

Postby delboy000 » Mon Jul 07, 2008 2:58 pm

Hello

I am 26 year old and profoundly deaf. Right now I am working for myself as a window cleaner in W london.

I have been to Cyprus lots of time on family hoilday only in Polis and Paphos and very enjoy my time out there plus I found that nearly every Cyprus people I have met speak english so I feel as being profoundly deaf I did not have any problem with communication as I can hear with my hearing aids and lip read people.

I have been thinking and I would like to open up a bar in Paphos.. I would like to hear people experience on moving out to Cyprus to open up bar, restaurant ect..

I have been wanting to moving to Cyprus in paphos for a while and would like to hear many info on moving out to Paphos plus I am also looking to take my time and not rush into to it.

Any advice or help would be great

Many thanks

Del :)

The only thing I would say is that running a bar is no easy option and if you've never done it in england why on earth do you think you could do it in Cyprus?

There are many new bars going up in the Latchi waterfront area ...

(near Polis ...)

I am sure there are great openings but the investment will probably be enormous ....

There are smaller ones in Polis which are always swapping hands .... perhaps you could try one of those to start with ( unless you are mega-rich of course ...)

Hi

I know it won't be easy running a bar but i am not scared of hard work and also looking for a new change.... after all I am 26 fit and young.....I done some bar work before when i was 18 so got a bit of experience there....As i said in my 1st post I am looking to take my time and not rush into to it.

I not mega-rich  but i got some money save up over the years.

But I was hoping to hear or read from someone experience on moving out to cyprus to open up a business but I wish I has not bother signing up on cyprus forum as Feisty and some of the OP on the others thread don't seem to be very helpful on cyprus forum other than picking hole and putting people down.

I will go and find another Forum where I am hoping Op will be more helpful

Two words my friend

1st is dont
2nd is bother

The competition in 'bar life' in Cyprus is very fierce. I would think of doing something more original. No offence mate
