Why get so defensive about it Kurupetos?
GG never said she hated Cyprus or even intimated there was anything she disliked about it, just, as I did too that it's scenery was not beautiful.
It has many other things that are great.
People are very rarely physically beautiful but it doesn't mean we love them any less.

but after your remark about the british expats, you need to get off the island and experience more of the world.

I'm struggling with this one.
Beauty is of course in the eye of the beholder.
Couldn't possibly agree with any of Gav's choices though.
I don't think you can ever make a judgement from a snapshot anyway.
I once travelled through France, Germany and Italy and saw some amazing sights.
The Peak District and Cotswolds in the UK are beautiful.
I can understand why people love their own country but couldn't describe anything I've seen in Cyprus as beautiful.I love the view down to Aswan in Egypt from the Aga Khan Mausoleum, love the game reserves in Kenya and the rain forests in Borneo but couldn't describe them as beautiful.

You dont know anything about me. How can u tell where I have been? I have been in the US (for many years and many places) myself and I didn't find most people to be beautiful or really interesting but that's again a matter of taste. What someone consider beatiful or ugly is a matter of personal preference. What if I don't like Americans/British? Don't I have the right to say that as you or Feisty did?
