alaska is by far, the most beautiful, cleanest place on this earth.

i also like Martha's Vineyard, and Muir Woods above the Bay Area in California.
but NOTHING beats Alaska.

did you been there ? any possibility to travel there ?

yes Gav, i have been there. if you love nature, that is the place to go!

I'm struggling with this one.
Beauty is of course in the eye of the beholder.
Couldn't possibly agree with any of Gav's choices though.
I don't think you can ever make a judgement from a snapshot anyway.
I once travelled through France, Germany and Italy and saw some amazing sights.
The Peak District and Cotswolds in the UK are beautiful.
I can understand why people love their own country but couldn't describe anything I've seen in Cyprus as beautiful.
I love the view down to Aswan in Egypt from the Aga Khan Mausoleum, love the game reserves in Kenya and the rain forests in Borneo but couldn't describe them as beautiful.

Why get so defensive about it Kurupetos?
GG never said she hated Cyprus or even intimated there was anything she disliked about it, just, as I did too that it's scenery was not beautiful.
It has many other things that are great.
People are very rarely physically beautiful but it doesn't mean we love them any less.
