Is it right that their company policy is to charge more money for wanting to sit down on their chairs than on take-aways?

Normal prices.....

Coca Cola light - 0.75 eurocents
7-up light - 0.95 eurocents (wtf?)

Prices to dring on their tables....

3.42 Euros for both.

Thats their company policy when I challenged them. They also added money on top on the apple crumble and a chocolate cake....

Milopita Small - 1.96 (apple crumble) (Normal = 1.85 Euros)
Doukissa - 2.56 (Normal = 1.70 Euros)

Come on, there is rip off and RIP OFF. This was a complete RIP OFF. Didn't realise this kind of theft still happened here :(

We took the drinks from the fridge, took the apple crumble from the shelf, asked them to give us the chocolate cake from the fridge, took it all to the cashdesk, told them that we want to eat in, they sent us to the other cash desk, we got ripped off, sat down ate and drank......so no service. The reciept doesn't state service charge...

If it's the same as the UK, then they have to pay VAT on products eaten in.

What did you sit down on, eat off and who washed up after you or do all these things come free of charge to the business supplying them? Also the space you occupied whilst sitting down forms an integral part of the business and has it's own overheads so needs to pay for itself.

Its the same in many places in the UK now. The worst one is Pret A Manger. I think it works out to something like 40% more expensive if you want to sit in and eat. They are clever, they cater to the city workers who only have an hour to eat on their lunch break. You rarely see a Pret A Manger in this country on an ordinary highstreet.

I guess they count that as a 'cafe' so you pay cafe prices.

What did you sit down on,

Rattan Chairs
eat off
cardboard with a disposable spoon and straigh out of a can, no glasses available.

and who washed up after

Nobody, the cardboard tray and tin cans don't get washed.

you or do all these things come free of charge to the business supplying them?

Eating in or take away, its the exact same materials used, apart from saving them a few cents on not using a carrier ba

Also the space you occupied whilst sitting down forms an integral part of the business and has it's own overheads so needs to pay for itself.

Its a bakers, Zorbas doesn't charge for using their tables and chairs, masterchef doesn't charge extra for using their tables and chairs...

I think Raymanoff is right in reporting them to the consumers assossiate, seeing as no written prices or notifications anywhere within the store telling you of the price hikes.
