that should be the sba police

as you know sba(uk) police works on pyla border. sba police is horrible and everyone dont like sba .also did you past yourself or just passing what your friend said.

No they weren't SBA police.
No we didn't cross. I have stated on many occasions that I will not cross while the country is illegally occupied. Just my stance and I'm happy with it.

how are you ever going to live together and get along if you won't even cross the greenline? if more people from both sides made the effort to do this, maybe they would fine that its not so bad on the otherside. shopping with a tc friend, the checkout woman spoke to him. he replied i'm cypriot, turkish cypriot and she replied i'm cypriot, greek cypriot and they shook hands. go on give it a try its not so bad.

roseandchan , you are right if people doesn't get in touch with each other how they can build up friendship and trust between them .
There was a green line between two sides since 64 . İt is not new .

Not only for shopping Rose , people of the Cyprus from both sides must be socially must mixed . more contacts means more to understand each other .

Some people didn't have any contacts since 64 some of them didn't have contacts since 74 . specially young generation doesn't know each other .
For me these are only excuses to say free area or occupied area .We all know why we have these green lines or enclave areas . important thing is how peoples from both sides can understand each other . to do this more contacts and visits .

maybe we should have a get together, say in nicosia. cross the line in both directions so that people who have never done it can do it in a group with friends.

It was a pleasant surprise indeed to meet Iceman. He looks far too young to be the refugee from Limassol that he claims to be!

Hello Halil :P :P :P
Nice to hear from you. I have been following CyprusForum for about 3 years, but have only recently joined.
I have appreciated your postings, (not least your lovely foody ones) along with all the others from people who want to mend old hurts and make a new life for ALL Cypriot people.

Unfortunately I am as far away from Cyprus as one can be, in New Zealand, so the Green-Line is just something I read about. My two children have a Greek-Cypriot father, and one of their Grandfathers came from Apostolou Andrea in the Karpas, and last year they visited there with their father (first time their Father had been there for over 45 years!) .

Halil, keep a stout heart in the face of all the negative feelings sometimes voiced on this forum.

Perdike thanks ,

Some how we must find to stopped our negative feelings . We must start from our kids ..... we must not destroy their brains by hate and claims ....

looks like this boat will go federal system .... we must get ready ....

respect to each other and try to learn how we can live side by side or together . depends how are leaders will prepare( make ready ) us with this new condition . İt might not easy but our determination will win at the end.
