I dont want to call my self an eco warrior
I do care for the environment, I recycle, I try and save water, I make plan on buying a hybrid car.

The only serious thing we can do to save the planet is have less children .....

Overpopulation of the planet is unquestionably harmful to our environment.

Learning is a worthwhile pursuit for us all and no suggestion was made otherwise.

I think tess may be struggling with the notion of learning though ...

I have already been taken to task by her for one cut-and-paste item of Cypriot Archaeology (educational) news ..... ....and had it described as "boring" by another who admits failing to grasp an -ology ..

Don't ever doubt my education and skills Oracle, you don't KNOW me at all - stick your presumptions up your tripod!!!

Tess,

A BRILLIANT IDEA, but the deluded delphic one has so many presumptions she'd need a warehouse of tripods, and that wouldn't begin to cover it.

Implementing is a good discussion point :D ..... since in hindsight we have a wealth of information from China and their mistakes.

But there are many places where real solutions are frowned upon (killing is a bit extreme  ) .... but that does not necessarily preclude a reason for pursuing them.

For example, the buying up of Patents for eco-friendly cars by the Petroleum companies so that they cannot be manufactured, and hence lower the consumption of petrol ... etc

Precise language for clear understanding, O Scientific One, please.

It should be FEWER CHILDREN . .

If you can count them, its . . FEWER,

If its an inseparable mass (i.e. milk, flour . . ) its LESS!

No its no more pedantic than you insisting on stating correct scientific data.

Don't thank me, you are most welcome.

Well that would be interesting if you would source it again.

Islamic countries in particular have to address the problem of population growth and the need to have less (collectively) children ....
