If not for my crocks (that I put in my luggage just as "beach shoes") i just cannot walk after two days in Cyprus wearing "normal" shoes when I was in Cyprus last may (my feet where "boiled" and I had sores) . After that I decided that they are ugly to be worn in social situations but comfortable enough to carry it in all my trips to "hot countries" just in case....
