I have an English clientelle who order English Christms cakes and Puddings. Really nice as people come back time and time again.

The trouble with my baking is that I am occasionally a bit experimental, and hence not consistent. As my son once said to his Greek family, "Mum would be a good cook, if only she stuck to the recipes". Didn't do my reputation much good.

At least I know what goes into my baking, though.

And That's what counts, Non of the best chef's stick to recipe's experiment if it does't work sod it , try another. Life and cooking is fun no time for miserable buggers !!

I am rubbish at baking but my 14 year old daughter is brilliant! Bless her she's always roped in to do one of her cakes.

I am getting good at many of the Cypriot dishes although I hate sticking to recipes as well. May be something to do with the fact I always have a glass of wine when cooking so it becomes more 'creative' as time goes on. :D

Oh yes . . . I know that scenario. And the bonus is, if the food's a bit 'creative' there's usually enough krassi onboard to compensate! Win, win!!

After a glass or two the guests don't care anyway! :D

How big are your wind glasses?

WIND GLASSES??? I hope not!! How many 'wind' glasses have you downed already this morning, Bubbles???

Wine, I said wine!

She's obviously on it big time. If she can't handle it she should get on the spiced rum!!!
