Hello Tess!

I think I read on a thread not so long ago that your grandson was coming to stay with you soon. Has he come yet, or been and gone?

Four grandsons!!!

My son and daughter (late teens) spent some time in the Karpas last (Cyprus) summer, with their Cypriot family. The wild donkeys made quite an impression.

They made a huge sand sculpture of a turtle, it was lovely, and I can't wait till they come again!!!

Four grandsons, sound like a lot of enjoyment for Granny! I have 5 brothers, all younger than myself, and no sisters. Didn't mind at all when growing up, it was very lively. We are still very close-knit, but as I get older a think a sister or two would be ideal.

Many Cypriots are terrified of German Shepards - we were looking after my friends two (fairly big) dogs the other week and whenever we took them for a walk people crossed the road

Not sure if it helped that the Shepards were on leashes but our (smaller) dog was not!

that is funny. i have been bitten a few times, alwyas by beagles!!!!! never by a german shepard, or a rottwieler or pit bull, or one of the other "mean" breeds.

Hilarious! I wouldn't care but these two dogs are real 'softies' - but they chase cats - hence the leashes!
