Favourite Film Set In Greece

Postby bill cobbett » Fri Jul 04, 2008 8:38 pm

Here's a little entertainment to while away this BORING Friday evening.

My favourite ( anglisised ) Film Set In Greece - well two of them.

Firstly the existentialist Zorba The Greek:- ----

And which male and others could fail to love the lovely, more balls than most greek or cypriot men I know, Melina Mercouri ( not that I would know of course :)

Here starring in Never on Sunday

There you go video and music to keep some of you off the streets tonight.

Not terribly controversial choices so here is an extract from my favourite CY Film - Attila '74, featuring "this island's too small for me" Mr Rough Donktash.

My favourite film set in Greece was the beginning of Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life. It has Angelina Jolie in a skimpy wetsuit fighting bad guys and doing cool tricks on a jet ski. :D Oh, and some Greek people turn up too

This Melina may look like a lush BillC, but she cannot be our Stella - no bottle - not even a glass of wine in sight!

ELENA was my favourite Greek set film, about a very brave mother who stood up for her children against the communists.

First choice would be Zorba The Greek and second Shirley Valentine

A mischevous urge makes my fingers type "Topkapi" . . . but NO, NO, NO in the interest of neighbourly harmony I retract immediately
