Does anyone know how to make halloumi, i would really like an idiot proof recipe so i can try and make my own, the ones you buy in shops are ehhhh...o.k i guess but nothing beats making it yourself.

My grandmother knows how to make it. I used to watch her make it, and it's not that easy. You need unprocessed goat milk which is very hard to find in a city.

My grandmother knows how to make it. I used to watch her make it, and it's not that easy. You need unprocessed goat milk which is very hard to find in a city.


I know for a fact that you can make hellim with any kind of milk but our old traditional ways use to be from goats milk, but if you have a recipe please post it.

Which halloumi are you buying Bro? We buy pittas from our local shop and I love it... particularly when BBQd... yum :P

I'm surprised you have any taste buds left anyways, would have thought all that '31 would have burned them away by now :lol:

Yes, you can make it with any kind of milk but it ain't gonna taste like you want it and that defeats the purpose of not buying it from the market. I don't have the recipe now but I might be going to Cyprus in June. I'll get it for you.

Yes, you can make it with any kind of milk but it ain't gonna taste like you want it and that defeats the purpose of not buying it from the market. I don't have the recipe now but I might be going to Cyprus in June. I'll get it for you.
