The owner of the Celebrity Hotels Group in occupied Cyprus will sue the Republic of Cyprus on the ground that one of the hotels that allegedly belongs to him is appeared to be among the hotels that belong to Greek Cypriots Turkish Cypriot daily KIBRIS newspaper (02.05.05) reports that Mr Aziz Kent, the owner of the Celebrity Hotels Group in occupied Cyprus will sue the Republic of Cyprus. Mr Kent will proceed to this action on the ground that in the website of the Embassies of the Republic of Cyprus in Sweden and Israel a hotel, named Celebrity that allegedly belongs to him, is appeared to be a Greek Cypriot property. In the website the Republic of Cyprus is giving information as regards which hotels that operate in occupied Cyprus belong to Greek Cypriots and warns the tourists who visit the pseudostate not to stay in these hotels. The Celebrity hotel appears to be in the list. Noting that he will continue to struggle until the end, Mr Kent claimed that the Celebrity Hotel was the first Turkish Cypriot hotel in Cyprus, and criticized the fact that the hotel is appeared to belong to Greek Cypriots. He stated that the Celebrity hotel was built before 1974 and that he took permission for Archbishop Makarios for it. He added that two other hotels that belong to the Celebrity Hotels Group, the Sato Lambousa and the Afrodit holiday village were built in lands that belong to Turkish Cypriots. Mr Kent stated that he gave instructions to his attorneys as regards these developments and added that he will sue the Republic of Cyprus on this issue.
