HAPPY BIRTHDAY GG

Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

Postby perdike » Thu Jul 03, 2008 4:53 pm

Hello Bubbles, I would like to post pictures, but . . . . I am technically incompetent and don't know how. My teenagers are away, or I would enlist their aid.

We live in the lower South Island of New Zealand.

And for GG, who loves the cold weather, we have snow forecast down to sea level tomorrow (actally, later today now). It's very hilly where I live, so I hope I make it home from work in the car.

We hope to view your little treasures when you family returns.

It sounds divine where you live - any chance of getting a few pictures of your surroundings (on teenagers return that is!) :)

I love the snow too  Good luck

Have you ever been to Scandinavia? I like that part of the world. PLENTY OF SNOW.

I lived and worked in Norway for 13 years, and spent a lot of time in Sweden too. The people are NOT boring. Norwegians especially very humourous and adaptable people.
Beautiful scenery, civilised society and aesthetically pleasing design, furnishings, art etc etc. Very expensive though, unless earning a local salary, as I was.

And when the snow and ice got too much, much nearer to Greece, and Cyprus than here in NZ. Oh yes, five weeks paid holiday a year!! Don't know why I ever left . . . Yes I do, the most glykas, charming man in the world! From Cyprus (are you reading GG !!)

I so wish I had done a cruise like that, Bubbles. It was like when living in London, you don't take time to go and see a lot of things you should, thinking 'someday soon'.

I think I had better stop hi-jacking GG's special birthday thread.
