Russian Mafia??

Postby emmacheck » Wed Jul 02, 2008 4:52 pm

This is a long story but i will try to keep it short...
When we last visited Limassol my youngest brother (18) and his friend got a taxi and asked the man to take them to the lively area. It was the first night there. He dropped them at a strip club which my brother thought was cool! The taxi man was then paid by a man on the door of the nightclub/strip bar. Upon entering the club they were asked if they wanted a private dance at 10 cypriot pounds each. They said yes. As they were leaving they both got pulled into a back room where men threatened to beat them unless they paid 300CY£ for the private use of the women that night. My brother said he didnt want to take them with him but they were pushy! They then took my brothers wallet and tried to use the debit card in the machine! Fortunatly my brother didnt have privleges for overseas transactions so they just kicked the two of the lads out. When they came back to the hotel that night we spoke to the recepitonist and he said these were not Cypriot men but the Russian Mafia. Obviously my brother was stupid to go into this type of club but he is a young lad! I wanted to know if anyone else has experienced anything similar?

I have to say "yes".

I went to Limassol around 10 years ago and asked the same question to the taxi driver. It was my first night. We pulled up to this club in the middle of nowhere and my friend and I thought what the hell is going on. We didnt like this one bit. There were guys standing by the door but we didnt not enter. We both new what this was and just presumed the taxi driver had missunderstood us.

We then said "lively" mean booze and free girls (pardon me for saying free but you know what i mean!). He then drove us to the bars in Limassol.

I didnt know this was run by the Maffia.

The same holiday we went to a Greek night and I got chatting to a Russian girl not knowing she was a prostitute. I then received a bill for talking to her! I managed to talk to the barman very nicely, who was on myside and knew this was a mistake, and he managed to clear the air with her pimp.

The club was playing traditional Greek music and kid were running around!

Russian Mafia? ooh piss off... pistepsan th malakia gamo thn ratsa mou na me nevriasoun tora.

There is this Ice cream truck at Akrotiri ran by some Brit who had a lot of decency to ask me if i was in Russian Mafia... just because i was driving a big black new truck and spoke with a pinch of russian accent.... i swear i wanted to kill the wanker, i work 18 hours shifts mother*****!!! started from 0 with no help from my parents... but i was calm, paid for my ice cream and water and left.

emmacheck, your cousin is retarted first of all if he goes to such places... there is a club here right next to Germasoya police station but its ran by Georgians (as they claim they are: Pontians)

So please, Russian Mafia is way above this level and operates differently and in different areas and Cyprus is just a hideout for some.... and they bother no one.
