Thats funny! Years ago, when I was studying, there was one boy we (girls) all loved and felt really at home with, and could sit next to, almost cuddle up to, and talk to about anything . . .and he just seemed to understand at once. Pity he had a steady girlfriend, we all said. A few years down the track he turns out to be gay and living with his boyfriend. Funny that, he never came over as effeminate, but looking back, I suppose we could talk to him amost as 'one of the girls', although we didn't see it at the time.

Perdike, it was a long time ago, and I think Dad was a bit jealous.

Have you ever noticed that for the most part , gay guys are gorgeous,
when I was in my twenties, I went out with a group of girls, one of my friends spent ages trying to chat this guy up, until the barmaid said to her ," not only are yopu barking up the wrong tree love, you are in the wrong forest, that bloke is his boyfriend"

Sad about your mother CC :(

Loved your last line though

You should have seen my friends face, she was drop dead gorgeous and knew it, could not believe she had been knocked back.
