There is a point in the new testimony where Jesus says if someone changes, adds, or deletes something from what I said he/she will be punished.
Also, I always read the ancient greek version which is the original text written by the evangelists Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. (They also wrote it in aramaic).
I don't know if the Catholics, Protestants, etc. have changed anything but I doubt they Orthodox altered anything (at least I don't have a proof of such event).
I think Gavcar is referring to the exclusion of the Apocryphal texts from the 'official' bible. Some of these texts are actually included in the Orthodox and Catholic bibles but rejected by Protestants.
Most of them refer to the Old Testament so they have no bearing on the teachings of Christ. Others were rejected because they are incomplete or their authenticity is doubted.
Naturally, they can all be found in other volumes if anyone wants to read them, and are probably even available on the internet.
