What bothers me is the 'transliteration' and 'hidden' meanings. Mens (and womens) interpretations. So easily misleading and 'abused'.

On second thoughts, it must be irritating to return to a posting and find it hi-jacked. But, steady on, "morons" ? . . . its just the ebb and flow of conversation, really. Tell you what, I'm asking you if you would like to post something to bring the thread back on-topic.

ok ok your new to the forum....we believe you. If you took offence to morons then...

Not as much as I would have liked, but even if you "don't believe" in the bible - its sheer age and the way its written, is, to me anyway, a beautiful and wonderous thing. The song of Solomon and the psalms etc etc - sheer poetry................ Anyway, thank you for your interest too!

I was brought up Catholic, but not much stuck. However, I think growing up Catholic is as much cultural as religious. I suppose I am a secular Catholic, just as there are secular Jewish people. And as part of that culture I wonder at and love the books, language, chants, music, folklore, idiosyncracies, architecture, as well as shuddering at the less admirable, the downright nutty, and the cruelty all bound up in it. A bit hard to put into a few lines . . .

I will, some other time. But its late, and I have to be up early to take my ungrateful (darling ha) teenage son somewhere in the morning. So not up to it tonight. Its a complex sort of thing really.
