When it is against their interests it is ridiculous to talk about 50%. When it is for their interests they don't see that is equally ridiculous to ask for 50%.
What is ridiculous is the idea that free speech can be 50% or 18% or any other fraction. You either have free speech or you do not. Political representation on the other hand is a matter of degrees. If you can not see and understand this then I can not help you.
Will you also be calling for strcit equality in births and deaths of TC vs GC - demanding that any TC who are born over this quota are killed and old people who do not die soon enough are likewise killed - and if we say this is ridiculous you will claim it's is proof of TC hypocrasy?
Your arguments are ridiculous and clearly so. What is of concern however is not your arguments (in this thread) but your seeming ability to believe and promote the ridiculous as 'logic' in your pursuit of your agenda. Such thinking can only spell disaster for Cyprus.

If the argument is about democratic principals then examples from ANY democratic system have a relevance. If the argument is that democratic principals are different within a nation sate than elsewhere then examples form nation states are relevant. If the argument is democratic principals are different within a nation state than elsewhere and different in a federal nation state when the component state has an ethnic element to is than when it does not, then you are no longer talking aboiut democratic principals, but specific application of democracy in specfic circumsatnces each to be assesed on its own mertis and comparisons with other places are of limited relevance.
Piratis wrote:And before you make your absolutely ridiculous claim that TCs are not an ethnic minority here is the definition again:
Round and round we go. TC are a numerical (ethnic based) minority in Cyprus as a whole. That is a fact. That this is a fact does not mean it is also a fact that TC can not have any political representation or rights within in their own homeland than that of a political minority. It is you
opinion that it means they can not and should not have any greater political represntation and rights, just as it is mine that it does not mean this.
You are entitled to your
opinion . Howeve when you start to insist that your
opinion is not an opinion but a matter of fact and god given rightness and as imutable as the laws of nature you only weaken your position and your credibility - in my very humble opinion.
