Yep. We better behave.

Hey Deniz, I like your new avatar, who is it?
A representation of a whirling Dervish of the Mevlevi Order.
The subject has been broached before. Mevlana Jelaleddin Rumi was a thirteenth century Philosopher/mystic. Born in Belkh in central Asia. He was and still is a guiding light to millions. He migrated to Asia minor when driven out of his homeland by the Mongols. He wrote mainly in Persian and Turkish, also Arabic too. His master work was the Mesnevi/Mathnawi. He took ideas from all past holy books and open the doors of his 'ZAviyeh/Tekke' to alcomers, whatever religion they followed. The web is full of references, should you be interested further. Their whirling dance had significance to the 'dancer' /Semazen. Great music too. The main instrument being the Nay/Ney an end blown reed flute.
Too much info. I am sorry.
