This is called The Cyprus Forum not the Cyprus v Turkey Forum.
It is allowed to see life around us.

I disagree. This is the Cyprus forum. Everything should be related to Cyprus. As I said there are a million other forums about a billion topics. Why not use those for other issues? Everytime I read the CY forum topics I find the majority of threads used are not related to Cyprus.

Do world affairs not directly affect the lives of people in Cyprus? I thought Cyprus was an EU country now...

Or maybe we should just ignore the outside world and let other countries make all of the decisions for Cyprus...

Unfortunatly Cyprus is not like a cheap hotel room that some of the sleazy cypriot men use where they can just put a "do not disturb" sign on the door and get "jiggy with it"...

The whole forum is dedicated to Cyprus. I didn't say Cyprus problem.

My apologies for that..I misread your post. But don't you think that people will tire of just discussing cyprus..?

My opinion...? I think its getting better.

Yes there are problems..iraq..global warming..etc etc.

With communications generally so improved in recent years..ie the internet.. i think we are more aware of the various problems facing the world.. and therefore able to study/think about those problems and then.. maybe.. be in with more of a chance of solving them.

It will be a slow process..but i think we will get there in the end.

I would say things are definitely looking up. When I lived there, there was no running water and no electricity. I would watch water fights and use a parffin lamp at night. Now you have your SAttelite dishes and showers. Thats an improvement alright , considering also all the skyscrapers and people needing swimming pools. Water shortage? You must be joking.

I don't say that it should be a very strict rule and people should be punished for doing so but we should all be considerate and try to concentrate on Cyprus.

Considerate to who?
The forum wouldn't have any members if the only thing ever discussed was purely about Cyprus.
