A noise annoys a noisy oyster . . .and I'm not even suffering from a heatwave.

I am in the far south, it is almosy midnight, and about 2C outside. Much warmer up in the North Island, where they grow lemons, oranges etc.

Are you lonesome tonight?

No you wouldn't love the cold here, dear GG where Central heating is largely an unknown concept. Cold is cold, and I am not hardy. Can't believe I came of pioneer stock, cause I think I would have melted into a pool of self-misery faced with what those hardy souls coped with.

Thought I would share this with you,

I went out this morning to let the Ducks and Hens out of the barn 2 were missing I went back, to see a duck with her head stuck would you believe it ,behind a breeze block ( the breeze block make partitions for the nesting sites,) on top of the breeze block was another duck watching, and I am sure I saw her laugh !! Naturally I rescued the duck, who walked of and looked very embarrassed. The other cheeky as ever bit her bum. What I would like to know is what was she doing to get her head stuck, maybe she was "egged" on

All done now - one 'clean vaccinated' kitten!

The injection must be taking its toll as she is asleep on my shoulders! Wouldn't mind if it was winter!
