ECHR: CASE OF SOLOMOU v. TURKEY

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby repulsewarrior » Tue Jun 24, 2008 9:53 pm

...so it's OK in TCland because its OK for the Brits, its wrong, (Brits are worse), is that why there is no need for any betterment?

Must have been trained by these thugs.

did those turkish policemen beating up that man on the floor to death look like they had training?

Obviously not, if they had , he would have been shot in the head 8 times from less than 2 feet.Criticize Cyprus all you want, but the reality is that Britain is no better, in fact a hell of a lot worse considering.

not criticising Cyprus at all. Just these asian policemen they've got roaming the place up in north cyprus

Admitted responsibility? What were they gonna do, deny that they carried out the shooting?!What were they gonna say, that Osama did it?
No one was prosecuted, so them admitting responsibility doesn't mean a thing. We don't even know who pulled the trigger & this killer is still walking a beat somewhere in London!

The inquest has been reopened (April 2008)

I agree that it was a bad mistake and that someone must be held responsible but this was a MISTAKE.

The case of the Cypriot murdered by a smiling assasin was not a mistake but a cold bloodeed DELIBERATE murder

and the 2 persons responsible for the killing are not walking the beat but are suspended from duty (Not ideal for the bereaved persons family but I sincerely hope justice will prevail)

Thats not how i know it.
I do know that the policeman who leaked documents revealing inconsistencies in police statements about the de Menezes killing has been suspended.

...they are a shame to Police everywhere, but it is up to the People they serve to stand against them, and against these acts.

This is the latest link I can find re the Menzes case
I have never said that the British system is perfect (far from it)
But for Gav to compare the two cases is rather a foolish thing to do as the cases are far from similar one was a MISTAKE and as I said I believe someone should be brought to book for it and the other case a DELIBERATE MURDER by a representitive of a group of people
