Cypriots cannot run countries

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Not at all, my point was that nationality is more complex than simply where a person is born. Even though I was born in the UK, many people here consider me a 'foreigner' because I'm not 'English' (Anglo-Saxon or whatever). I'm not of the indiginous people and I have a 'foreign' name.

In the eyes of the Cypriot government, the minute I set foot on Cyprus to live I'm considered a 'repatriated Cypriot' and have the same obligations as anyone born on the island.

So basically it doesn't come down to where a person is born if their heritage is from somewhere else. That's why people say they are Greek Cypriots or Turkish Cypriots etc. It's not always about highlighting differences, more about showing some respect to their roots.
