Unless it's a penthouse flat in a good location that's a bit over the top in today's depressed housing market  .

Even more so if you don't have the title deeds which seem to be really essential now to get a buyer interested as more intending buyers are getting clued up on the possible problems of buying without deeds .

I guess that's £89,000 Cyprus pounds ~ It would indeed be a bargain at €89,000

Living on a island can make people blissfully ignorant of what is happening elsewhere...until things catch-up!
Too many Greek-Cypriots have had it far too easy for far too long, enjoying a lifestyle way beyond their means and often financed by borrowing.Whether it has done them any good is debatable but certainly in comparison to the way they were even twenty years ago, they are far more stressed and far less happy nowadays than they were when they had fewer material goods etc. Most of them seem to forget that they live on the same island where over a third of the population lost everything overnight in the summer of 1974........

I can give a personal overview of the UK market.Six years ago I sold my House for £410,000 but for a variety of reasons decided to pull out of the sale. Two years ago we decided to come to Cyprus.Put house on the market received an offer of £465,000, declined due to similar house sold for £510,000.Now the house is on the market for
£410,000 with very little interest. It's seven bedrooms 4 en-suite 700 square metres on 2500 square metre plot. They are now selling 3 bed bungalows for under £200,000 in my area, whereas last year they were selling for £240,000

Houses are still selling, maybe not in the volume they were 5 years ago.Again it seems regional rather than blanket coverage. In my neck of the woods demand always seems to outstrip supply, and property rarely remains on the market for over a month.
Saying all of that, our area is aptly named "Gods waiting room" and there still seems to be money in that sector of the market, IMO.
As for Cyprus I think the holiday home bubble has burst, the commercial sector seems to be the way forward.

The holiday home bubble may have burst but I haven't seem prices come down much yet. I suppose poor sales this summer may just kick start a real fall. Cypriot developers believe that prices only go one way, I think they are about to have a lesson in economics.
