Can someone fill us in on whats happened to GR & Oracle? I was away. Why is everyone carrying her avatar?

I will confess that I totally disagreed with just about everything Oracle posted. However, I absolutely defend her right to post her opinions on this forum, or that of anybody else who respects the basic rules of civilised debate. I do not believe that, for the most part, she broke the rules of the forum

OK, a few days ago she launched on some pretty personal attacks on certain forum members. I think she was getting as good as she gave in the replies others were posting. If anything, she should have been given enough rope to hang herself, rather than being suspended.

Me too Tim. But I can't help thinking it was more her comments and accusations against the Forum itself (the company) that got her suspended?

Maybe. I have been away from the forum over the weekend so it has all come as a bit of a surprise to me.

What happened was that they misbehaved and instead of cooperating when warnings were send to them they instead choose to attack the forum.

We are very flexible with the rules here but when we request from a member to stop a specific harmful behavior then we expect the member to cooperate. Otherwise the forum would be in anarchy.

Oracle and Get Real! were suspended from the forum for a few days due to the above behavior. The ban has nothing to do with their opinions and beliefs. They both made 1000s of posts and they will have the chance to make 1000s more if they wish.
