so here the Maronites & GCs should stick together always & never accept any compansation whatever it is if it is for one part any resolution must be for all ... or if the maronites accept alone to return to their villages whitout solution for the GCs than the Turkish win to devide you by small & ugly game . which they waiting for from 34 years & couldn't achived during the occupation

Read the 1960 "RoC" constitution they do not have any community rights and are considered a minority within the GC community. TCs are considered a community and have rights accordingly, so GCs and Maronite's sticking together means they are on the other side of this argument to us so why should we treat them any differently from GCs?

Since you brought up the 1960 Constitution, does that then mean, that Christofias is your President and Talat is just your community leader.??

No we were pushed out of that agreement by the GCs, some say they stole it.

Would be great if the Maronites and Armenian Cypriots got there land back. Emassruoa even though it would be great we shouldnt hold are breath. Turkey wont allow the T Cypriots to do this until there is a solution.

emassroua, in my Cyprus, Armenians and Maronites, would have their own representation, (in National Assemblies of their own) (and it may be possible for parties to field Armenian and Maronite candidates, for all Cypriots to vote for, in my Cyprus by adding seats to the Upper House) and a territory, as enclaves, where it is reasonable to assume that its attraction to other Cypriots will be the diversity they can support.

please read my Manifesto,

this is not a subject that i know very much about but i'm sure i have read somewhere that these people left during the conflict. maybe as christians they didn't feel safe to live under turkish, muslim rule. i don't have any problem living in a muslim dominated country. halil is the one who can shed light on the subject i should think.

Maronites have been in Cyprus for over a thousand years. Originally they are people from Lebanon-Syria and Christian. Their exclusion from the north proves that the system there is fundamentally racist since it excludes ALL NON TURKS and not simply GCs. It is interesting that soon after the opening of the barricades the Gypsies of the north flocked south because although they are Moslems they could not stand the treatment the received from the "authorities".
