[quote="emassroua"]i would like to know more about the Maronite community ... in Cyprus..
i'm a Lebanese where the Maronite comes to cyprus ....
hope one day every cypriot can return to his orgin & also return his properties.. because here in lebanon we know very well what 's mean to be refugee even at home.. we pray for you ...

quote]

firstly welcome emassoura, and thank-you.

i pray for the missing, perhaps if they find peace, it is because we can look at ourselves without shame. I pray for the Lebanese, because they suffer from interlocution more than Palestinians. and I pray for Palestininians because they suffer worse.

do you think a bicommunal State could work in other countries, outside of Cyprus, but in the middle east?

...please read this manifesto, to understand my definition of such a State.

As well as returning the Maronites back to their villages, they should also be given 50% power and a veto vote power in the north, because they do not want to be minorities in their own country.

My dear will read your manifesto and feed you back... maybe tomorrow

some medium size companies employ more than whole population of Cyprus or even Lebanon & they run sucessufully their companies... so what we need here a real decision to improve ourselves & a good management .. no need a Parliament or a large Government and , and etc,

just the right management & one Single CEO...

You keep justifying the invasion on the basis of security. So come on why were the Maronites told to move to the south?

Thy sided with the Greek Cypriots, so they are classed as a minority with no community rights.

They threw their lot in with the GCs so they get whatever the GCs get.

as they are a cypriots citezen whatever Maronite , GCs or even TCs... everyone should have the same rights ..
so here the Maronites & GCs should stick together always & never accept any compansation whatever it is if it is for one part any resolution must be for all ... or if the maronites accept alone to return to their villages whitout solution for the GCs than the Turkish win to devide you by small & ugly game . which they waiting for from 34 years & couldn't achived during the occupation

Read the 1960 "RoC" constitution they do not have any community rights and are considered a minority within the GC community. TCs are considered a community and have rights accordingly, so GCs and Maronite's sticking together means they are on the other side of this argument to us so why should we treat them any differently from GCs?

any constitution in the world give equal rights to every citizen ... in my opinion the speacial treatment & care for the Maonite must comes from the GCs to keep any minority with them....

Yeh well, the GC's also want 50% power and a veto vote power from the north as you demand from the south.

It's only fair, don't you think..??

I'm all for Fair and Just peace, how about you.??

I think the 20% land and full recognition is looking better and better for you all the time, isn't VP.??
