i would like to know more about the Maronite community ... in Cyprus..
i'm a Lebanese where the Maronite comes to cyprus ....
hope one day every cypriot can return to his orgin & also return his properties.. because here in lebanon we know very well what 's mean to be refugee even at home.. we pray for you ...

Can any TC answer a question I have. Why were the maronites kick out. They are not Greek Cypriots. Are you also affraid of them. No logic in your argument really. You keep justifying the invasion on the basis of security. So come on why were the Maronites told to move to the south?

the Island Invasion was against the Greek Cypriots or against the Island Independent .... i believe the Maronite are part of the Island & remember they are Christian ...

Still doesnt justify them being booted out like the greeks. The whole point of the so called peace operation was to protect the TC's.

Doesnt this prove the Turks and TC's just wanted to take the North of the island for themselves. Nothing to do with protecting the TC's

in my opinion what you called an ( operation )... it seems like you give them an excuse for what they done for the Island during 34 years ..... it must be very clear for everybody & for all generation ....
they commit ETHNIC GENOCIDE against the Christian ... and the invasion was against GREECE because they cannot attack them...

Emassroua I do not give them an excuse as you put it. What they did was illegal and they should be punished but due to the US needing Turkey that wont happen.

I still want to know why the Maronites were expelled as they did not pose a threat to the TC's. I just want to prove the invasion was not about protecting the TC's. It was all about turkeys greed. They Used the TC as the excuse. I just want a TC to answer my question.

i don't think the TC can answer you because they are useless & the Turkish occupation controlling everything ..
so ( why were the Maronite's Expelled ) it's very clear ..they want their part or maybe the whole island to Become a Turkish Muslim...
