If you have a suitable machine with a suitable connection to the internet you can run your own IRC server.

See here for more info

http://www.irchelp.org/irchelp/ircd/

I am not really sure if this is what you were asking though?

There are several based on .gr (greek) domains. see here for a list

http://irc.netsplit.de/servers/listings.php?tld=gr

There don't seem to be any on a .cy domain (at least as far as this listing site knows).

Hope that is of some help?

Hi birkata. Welcome to the forum.

http://searchirc.com/irc-cyprus-1

Just click on the link to go and join any of the 14 cyprus irc channels. :)

There are also two TC Cyprus networks on irc. To find them just do a search on main page of http://searchirc.com/

Yes it is a list of IRC channels related to Cyprus.

It shows the IRC network (main ones like dalnet, undernet). The port used depends on which server you go to.

So for example if your are interested in the first lisiting (currently showing 16 users) you must connect to a dalnet server. ANy dalnet sever will give you access to the #cyprus channel. Which port you use depends on which dalnet server you chose. If for example you just want a 'random' EU based dalnet server then goto irc.eu.dal.net on port 6667. Or you could chose a specific Dlanet sever like this one matrix.de.eu.dal.net (based in germany) on any port in the following range 6664-6669. Any dalnet sever in any country will give you access ot the same #cyprus channel shown in Insan's list.

Hope that helps
