I'm happy to say that almost all the GCs I've come to know since moving to Cyprus are less hostile than you are. Actually that goes for all the TCs, Iranians, Palestinians, Lebanese, Iraqis and English too!

I will leave you to your thread for your imagined dream world of Cyprus without any CTs, Turks, or even any mention of them.

You never did tell me whether the Turks were responsible for the donkeys!

That wasn't an insult but an observation. I'm sorry you think you are brighter than you appear.

Are Turks responsible for donkeys? I don't know. I thought they (both) were a product of Evolution. :?

In Polis there is an Olive tree over 700 years old ... if anyone has some details to post that would be great ... otherwise I will keep looking.

We also have an Olive tree that is probably over 500 years old ... I will get further details. I don't want to chop it down to confirm by counting rings ...

What about bike of Polis , is she still alive? Or has someone else taken on her role?

Olives were first introduced into Cyprus in 3000.B.C, from Micro Asia. The olive tree which now exists is believed to have been bought to Cyprus by the Romans. It is known as the 'Cyprus Olive Oil Tree'. This olive tree takes many forms and produce is varied in shape. The oil is known as very high quality oil, with a fruity aroma. It's production is unreliable from season to
season.

Natural Cyprus - taken about 6 months ago - Fig Tree Old Famagusta - said to be the oldest tree in Cyprus (I think I mistakenly said it was an Olive tree in an earlier post) - if that's the date on the plaque it is over 700 yrs old!
