Hehe nice.

But seriously is the weather milder in September? My pop's wants me to visit, I think he's ran out of Partagas.

September is usually a good month to come over. The days are generally cooler (thankfully!) but beware of the humidity which can be quite high!

I have two airconditions, one being the starwing which is quite good. It depends on how economical you want it, the more economical the more expensive it is to purchase. You most certainly need airconditioning without a shadow of a doubt, believe me. I put two in last month because I knew these days were coming.

On a similar subject, anyone know where I can buy a Chigo remote control in Nicosia for the a/c unit? Tried to turn it on the other day and the battery acid had melted in the remote over the winter... you'd think after two years here, I'd have spotted somewhere I could buy one!!!

George - your original question - I find the wall mounted split-unit I have (Chigo) is pretty reliable - I got a fairly large main room (prob 45m sq), and it cools it down pretty quick. Just take the batteries out the remote in the winter!
