Therefore, any person that supports the inhuman actions of the aforementioned powers, must join Miltiades and adorn themselves in the same uniform as he, the uniform of a "Traitor" to his own country and a spectacle of derision in that he actually spent the greater part of his life living in perfect harmony in the land of his OWN (so he professes) country's enemies.

Paphitis may also join with his new found counterpart, as may any others who openly sanction the disgusting actions of the military and political campaigns of the "Terrorist Organizations" of the mighty three.

They don’t seem to comprehend that the American hegemony is the very reason Turkey is still violating the rights of Cyprus, four decades on!

Perhaps this somewhat-complex geopolitical set of circumstances is too much for them to comprehend thus exposing their limitations.

Good post.

The USA is actually a very strong supporter of the RoC and right now we just heard that Obama went to Germany to give Merkel a great big kick up the backside in support of Greece!

A load of rubbish! You just don't comprehend the greater scheme of things and are easily misled by feeble deception and lip service.

Whatever support the Americans are (or are purporting to) offer, we may be sure that it will not be out of any sense of concern for the welfare of the Greeks that motivates them.

Shame for their inhuman behaviour might be one reason for this diplomatic move, seeking to endear themselves to Germany and perhaps bolster their pressure upon Russia might be another. The only thing WE may be sure of is that WE will never know.

I very much doubt that Obama will approach his German counterpart with quite as much bravado as you suggest, the antics of the Yanks is under close scrutiny right now and many nations are asking awkward questions about what the objectives are.

On this occasion, they support the RoC's dejure legitimacy as has always been the case.

They do not recognize the illegal occupation regime and it appears they never will.

They also look at the RoC as a partner State, an ally and a country that is generally good for regional stability.

But, we as a country we never ever made things easy for them and the RoC was always a challenge. This has more to do with our stupidity in pandering to the Eastern Block rather than settling down with a NATO security umbrella which should have been a priority. That was friggin stupid!

I got this from a Greek Media Outlet and sure enough there were pictures of Obama meeting Merkel and high on the agenda was Greece.

Official US sources said, that the USA was concerned with the way Greece has been treated and stated that there is only so much Austerity a people can take and that perhaps its time to allow them the ability to spend on Stimulus within reason.

That is a very positive position the USA has adopted right there with regards to Greece.

Effectively, it looks like the USA has sided with Greece somewhat! Maybe there is an agenda here of US interest which of course is only natural. Tell me a country that doesn't.

Oh and it appears that the American stance on Greece seems to be that it considers the Greek/EU standoff as unhelpful and a risk to the Global Economy, including their own. Obama is not wrong there.

Therefore, the American position seems to be that the EU and Greece should come to a new agreement which will allow Greece a little more freedom to Stimulate their economy because the current status quo is not helpful to anyone.

Which is why he gave Merkel a good kick up the golo!

The American position seems to be that an agreement that will grant Greece some of its wishes could lead to a stronger economy and that this was beneficial to the Global Economy.

So this anti American bash is getting a little boring if you ask me.

You’re wasting our time with insignificant bollocks!

Here are the FACTS that matter for Cyprus:

1. The American position is that the CNG is embargoed from purchasing US weapons and technology to appease Turkey.

2. The American position is that crucial UN resolutions pertaining to Cyprus need not be enforced to facilitate Turkey’s illegal stay on Cyprus.

3. The American position is to give considerable sums of “aid” to Turkey annually while Cyprus gets zero.

4. The American position is to evade any official condemnation of Turkey’s Armenian massacre.

5. The American position is to embargo and destroy Cyprus’ trading partners including Russia and Syria.

Now bugger off to a kindergarten because you’ve got the IQ of a chipmunk!

Bullshit Cyprus gets zero aid.

The Americans have given RoC authorities millions worth of aid, including sniffer dogs, x-Ray scanners and so on.

And there would be no embargo if Cyprus had joined NATO. You also said that Russian weapons are the best in the world once so why would you want American weapons anyway? That is just another example of your deluded state because Russian weapons don't even come close to what the Americans have available even though I supported your deluded position at the time.

And it's not up to the USA on enforcing the resolutions. Did anyone EVER ask the Russians or Chinese to see whether they are even remotely interested? Maybe you fear their response!

It took East Timor 40 years of negotiating and careful lobbying in Australia before they convinced other countries to enforce UN Resolutions. Who was the instigator? Alexander Downer which you chastised. The RoC on the other hand has not even asked for the enforcement of UN Resolutions but insist on negotiating with the occupiers. Don't you think it would be a good start to start doing what East Timor had been doing for decades? But that's ok. I never accused you blokes of having any brains.

On the one hand you criticize America playing world cop and on the other you criticize them for not enforcing UN Resolutions.

You wouldn't even need any resolutions because Cyprus would not have been partitioned if you guys played your hand right.

You can come up with all kinds of crap about the Americans but they would never betray any of their allies or partner States. If Cyprus was considered such in the 70s there would be no way the Turks could ever invade.
