If Miltiades and Bananiot are practising Treason,by refusing to even consider War as a way of bringing peace and justice to our homeland, I would like to join them and wear the title of "Traitor" as a badge of honour....What we are practising is in fact "Reason"...and Empathy...and Understanding....and Mutual Respect....Beats beating the War drums any day....Hold your head high ,dear Miltiades...Our way is the only way....And we will get there one day,and find plenty of reasons to celebrate...What would we find to celebrate at the end of war in our beloved country???

Miltiades, as stated in the pm, I feel that there has been too much water under the bridge for an apology. This is also due to the fact that you have misinterpreted every single exchange that I have had with you and labelled me as a war monger which is clearly not the case.

Therefore I can not reciprocate as I find your arguments to be false and weak.

The PM was merely to provide you with my personal details. Like you, I am also an open book. I only ask for one thing, that is that these personal details remain private.

I will still counter your recalcitrance which I believe is damaging to the RoC as I still remember you ridiculing CNG capabilities and ruling out that which the RoC has an ultimate right to enact, and that is to defend it's borders which end in Kyrenia and Apostolos Andreas. I respect your wishes to refuse my offer of reconciliation , here is where we are different to each other. I , being 62 years of age , see things from a different angle , that of an older man and may I also say perhaps , just perhaps a tiny bit wiser than someone your age . You are 100% wrong about my views being damaging to the RoC , how may I ask since I have exactly the same views as those of the ROC , Negotiate and negotiate.
On more than one occasion you have accused me of ridiculing the CNG , prove it by providing a link and I will eat my hat. I ridiculed GRs hypothesis that the CNG can take on Turkey and not only win a war but also achieve the desired result.
Here again on this very thread you consider me a traitor , yet , apart from you , GR , Oracle and two others , the vast majority do not share your views or those of GR. You accuse a 62 year old TRUE CYPRIOT of being a coward and a traitor and yet this coward has the guts to publicly offer an apology to you for reacting by calling you names , offers his hand that you refuse to shake , exactly how GR responded on 4 occasions.
If you can show me anywhere in my 4500 posts one word that is unsupportive of my island I will eat my other hat too.

When I first joined the CF in April of 2006 , you were the first one that I challenged , we had many unpleasant exchanges , you stood your ground and I stood mine. As time past you accepted me for what I'm and I the same . You have been here when I challenge many on this forum who expressed hatred for one side or the other . I challenged those that presented a case and posted in a manner unlikely to help constructively in the ultimate , for me , solution , the unification of our island.
Those challenged are no longer with us , Malakas was the first one , Lysi , Alexander , Eric Dayi , and some that I no longer recall their names. All had the same qualities. Immesurable hatred either for the G/Cs or the T/Cs .
During the last few years I have met many from the forum I would like to think that all are still my friends just as I'm theirs , the first was MR-from-NG , Kafenes , Halil , Iceman , Lena that I met on 4 occasions including her mother and young brother and of course Niki along with Kalahari and the family . Deniz , a dear friend of mine and a real Cypriot , we dont see eye to eye as far as international events are concerned but are on the same level as far as the Cyprus problem is concerned.
Recently I had the pleasure of meeting Bananiot and his wife for lunch in Limassol .We do not see eye to eye on at least the AP but we are civilized Cypriots and agree that all are entitled to their own views. Those with differing views have a right to challenge if they feel that such views are damaging to the prospects of reconciliation and to the eventual solution which ideally would be the unification of Cyprus.
I will briefly refer to GR and Oracle for one last time since neither is here to defend them selves.
Calling someone my age , a father and a grandfather , one who at the very young age of 13 joined the struggle against the British occupation , a traitor and persisting in maintaining such a stand is not only a despicable act but a very spiteful and nasty accusation that I'm simply , unlike Bananiot who just ignored it , not going to accept it and will react within the boundaries permitted on the forum . Paphitis , the other part of the trio is still persisting in his perverted ideas that anyone who thinks that war is not the only option is a traitor . He is quite an expert in repeating the same over and over again , that I'm ignorant , IM FULL OF DRIVEL ,IM A TRAITOR BLAH BLAH BLAH. I offered him my hand just as I did to GR
he rejected it , I ask him what on earth is my crime , is it my wish to see my grandchildren grow up in a united Cyprus without strife war blood and tears , is it my wish that we should continue with our efforts in the political arena and not enter into a war that GR thinks with the help of mercenaries we can win !!!
I shall continue to challenge and debate with those that behave in a similar fashion to those back in the early 60s and 70s , on both sides of the spectrum , the fanatics who fly the Turkish flag , or the Greek flag , who ignore the reality that this island is an independent entity with its own persona and only as such will it find peace and stability , one Cyprus belonging equally to the G/Cs the T/Cs , Armenians , Maronites and to all other Cypriots .
Vp will agree I have never changed my tune , utopia he calls it, and so be it.
