looks like Solanum crispum (potatoe vine) very nice it is too. Grows very well in Cyprus!!

Yes correct they are in the same family which is why I mentioned the deadly nightshade. Worked in a lab where they were studied. The stylized version doesn't seem to fit an easily recognizable species as you would expect the flowers to be more closely packed, if not florets.

They use it in some medicines I believe? But the (blue) potatoe vine has bright yellow ovary so the picture may not be that at all. It does however produce poisonous berries similar to the "deadly" cousin.
