Of course I've learned a lot from past mistakes so these days I don't watch any TV in fear that I'll laugh at my self 10 or 20 years from now...

Which ever , both would be useless !!
Affect , I very much doubt , effect well to GR and his clan perhaps !!

“Affect” must point to a subject or owner if you like, whereas “effect” can only be used when the affected party is/are unidentifiable.
