Greece to appeal Euro court decision

Athens will appeal a decision by the European Court of Human Rights saying Greece's closure of Turkish associations in Western Thrace violated the European Convention on Human Rights, Greek Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis told the press yesterday. Greece closed down the associations on the basis of their self-identification as Turkish instead of Muslim.

Greece and Cyprus have offered many times for both the Aegean FIR and the Cyprus problem to be taken to the ICJ. Turkey has refused....why?
