There is not limit, as no one controls what you buy, the GCs do not generally shop in the TRNC, they have a unified policy to not support the economy of the north. They even bring their own sandwiches and drinks so as not to spend any money that would go towards supporting the TRNC.

That means , no limit , that you can buy whatever value from the ROC and return to the "TRNC" ??
Can you offer a reason as to why should any citizen of the RoC should want to prop up the economy of the "TRNC" under the present circumstances ??

I think that there is a bit of confusion here.

The original post said that the amount that anyone (not just GCs, tourists cross too) can buy in the North and cross the Green Line with has gone up from 135 Euro to 260 Euro. As this is a EU regulation the RoC must comply.

The TRNC government is not affected by EU regulations, but in general they mirror the EU regulations on goods bought by private individuals in the South and brought across to the North, so I would expect the same increase to apply.

Yes we can and do buy whatever we want, we evenhave people who buy their bread, tables chairs in the south and carry them accross wither by hand or in cars vans etc.

We do not think of it has helping the enemy and shop freely wheras you do, thats the big idfference between GCs and TCs, if we are the enemy then do not cross, stay in south Cyprus where you belong. But if you cross into the TRNC using your id card then surely you must need a drink of water or a toilet, or do you supress those urges and shit when you get home

VP, although you have been looting our properties in the north since day one of the illegal Turkish occupation, and although your illegal apartheid racist regime and illegal "constitution" deny almost every single human right to the GC refugees from the north of Cyprus; we still have given you EU citizenship via RoC passports, jobs to work in the south for higher salaries (even though you do not allow even one single GC to go for a mere cane-fishing in the north -as a hobby, without "arresting" him,) we have given our consent to the EU to allow the exporting of "your" goods via the green line, without taxes and duties (even though most of them we know you bring them from Turkey or produce them in the GC properties you illegally usurped,) and many more benefits; YOU have the audacity and the ingratitude to complain that you do shopping in the south while we do not? WE do all these and we do not say that we are helping the enemy, (and as a proof, your per capita income has tripled since Turkey opened the cage in which it had you locked for 30 years,) and YOU come here to complain that we see you like the enemy, while in fact it is you that does exactly this, and you even had your pseudo-police "arresting" and throwing in prison for 48 hours a GC that cut a flower from his own garden in Karmi village?

We even gave you electricity, when you run out of it in the middle of the cold winter, and we didn’t think you were the enemy –even though we knew you would have shared it with the illegal Turkish troops in the north, and as a “thank you” the next day you went ahead and provocatively lit that stupid “flag” on the mountain, obviously in order to demonstrate your “gratitude” and “civility!” YOUR insolence has surpassed that of a monkey, in case you haven't realized it yet! I wonder when you will grow up!

VP why are you such a twat. You keep making these stupid statements. We take our own drink and food when we travel to the North.

Did you know back in 1974 the Turks didnt even know what a toilet was. When you theiving peasants started looting GC properties you saw the toilets and thought they were for washing. Just go to show how backward you people are.

If we are the enemy as you put it why do thousands of you work for GC's in the south. Why dont you close up the borders again if you are that scared of us and continue living in isolation with you turkish brothers.

"Did you know back in 1974 the Turks didnt even know what a toilet was."

Could we perhaps have a special section on this forum where people with poisoned minds can peddle their infantile stereotypes in peace because I for one do not wish to strain my eyes reading this kind of racist filth?

George, I can assure you the TCs did know what a toilet was, back in 1974, just like the GCs did! I suggest you do not make comments that you do not know for a fact they are true, for you only reveille your potential racist sentiments!
