Btw Umit, I did Electronic Eng and Comp Science in Perth ages ago, but Electronics was by FAR the hardest. I’m going to tell you what I told my daughter recently… forget Engineering! Just go breeze through an easy Business Management course and chances are you’ll be getting much higher salaries than any Engineer.

Well GR if I did that now in Cyprus that would mean switching majors during my third year , in which case I would be called for national service before being able to graduate. Last year I lost an entire year just because I failed a "Differential Equations" course , even though I had passed the other four courses I took I could not take 3 of the next 4 courses during the next term . Something similar has happened again this term and I am just fed up with it all. F**k it!

I blame the CF!

Seriously, you're in too deep to abandon it now. Have you seen a councilor about this? Nothing that can be done? How about transferring to another institution? :?

Now listen Umit… we have the technology to rebuild you! But it's in the south... 8)

THe problem GR is that it seems I am fed up with engineering and need to study something else. But if I start from scratch on another subject , I will be called in for national service before being able to graduate. I think I might study something like Political science or Business . I don't know . The question is will I be able to study and work in Melbourne without financial help from home? Being a citizen means I am eligible for a student loan which pays for a very large portion if not all of the school fees.

There is a major called Engineering Management. It involves general engineering (which you may have completed already) and also management courses. It could be a good option for you. :) Good luck!

But your national service is only for a year is it not? It’s not the end of the world if it means that you can then start FRESH in a new course with all the experience you’ve gained thus far.

I can’t understand why you see Australia, an expensive and far-away country, as the solution! Any way check out the website I gave you to see if you can work while studying or whatever.
