Why don't you cut to the chase and just advertise yourself as a Biology tutor then?

I would not pay a non-specialist to teach my son.

All primary teachers are non specialists by your reckoning then? Therefore your son would not attend a primary school??

In the UK he went to a fee paying school which had specialist trained teachers in all subjects ..

So why would anyone pay above what was offered free for a non-specialist teacher at any primary?

What is it you offer that is better than what they receive for free ... and what most able parents could manage without specialist knowledge ....

BTW .. the QTS is not widely recognised (not even acceptable in high-educational standard countries like Scotland) .. do you have a PGCE?

Each parent has the right to decide what they feel is best for their children.

We are experienced teachers with 9 years experience of teaching primary aged children ( 4 - 11 years ) the whole national curriculum in successful UK primary schools. We are highly experiened in all subject knowledge, classroom management and assessment strategies. We have experience of teaching children with specific learning difficulties and those who are gifted and talented. I appreciate your perspective and that you believe primary education requires each teacher to be a specialist in all foundation subjects of the national curriculum and Literacy and Numeracy. This is not how successful primary schools in the UK are organised. We are specialists in teaching our specific age range to an outstanding level ( OFSTED reports ). This is not offered free in state schools in Cyprus as we have experience of this. Once again, many thanks for your time and I understand that given your views, our services would not be for you.

OK ... I get the hint ... when I am not wanted. :(

I had a few more probing questions (e.g. I thought there was only one of you :? ) ... which when dealt with would have given you the opportunity to become unbeatable in this field ...

Good luck! :D

It is not that you are not wanted, you just made it clear that you would prefer teachers with degrees in each specific subject area to tutor your child/children. I understand that it is a parents right to decide what they feel is the correct decision for their children. I thank you for your thoughts.

I am a qualified, experienced teacher who is co-ordinating the website and generating positive ideas and suggestions. I am married to a teacher with identical experience and know other suitably qualified, experienced teachers.

Thankyou for your time.

Please, any more views are greatly welcome...
