Quality of life in the UK has been deteriorating for many years now , bit by bit the government , local authorities
the huge influx of third world immigrants , who unlike the Brits in Cyprus that Eliko said do not adapt , still live in the 14th century .
A new restaurant we recently serviced has a policy that men and women do not eat not only at the same table but have to eat in separate rooms !! This in Britain in the 21st century !!
Its a disgrace that we have seen fit to allow hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants mainly asylum seekers , (my foot) , and failed miserably in devising means in order to bring these people into the 21st century , in informing them clearly that forced marriages , honour killings and 14th century practices are outlawed in the UK.
Our schools have been forced by local authorities to abandon cultural events that shaped this nation for hundreds of years in case the "immigrants " are offended.
Other areas responsible for reducing the quality of life , again indirectly sponsored by the government and local authorities have been the extension of power given to local authorities in raising revenue from the motorists . There are more cameras in the UK than anywhere else in Europe , not installed for reducing road accidents as they tell us but purely to raise more money so that it can be distributed to the single mothers , lazy scroungers , and fraudsters.
Our institutions starting from the Banks , Insurance companies , Utility providers are all dedicated legal crooks ,
and our MPs , bless their expense sheets , are there for the take , and more take and more and more , greedy bastards who will use every trick in the book to inflate their expense claims. Recently we were told that Gordon Brown included a small some on his expense sheet for light bulbs !!! Even the paper that they wipe their arses on is paid for by the tax payer ""
I have had many "remonstrations " with the traffic director office in London. All I can say is that these people who are earning in excess of 100 thousand pounds a year are nothing more that bloody parasites , absorbed in their continued efforts in devising more ways to suck more money from the motorist.

In short , the UK is rapidly disintegrating , the time is fast approaching when we shall no longer be able to include the most fundamental part of our British breakfast on our plate !!
We have become a nation of Traffic wardens , unmarried mothers , unsightly immigrants and lots and lots of bastards and greedy government officials. Apart from that the UK is the greatest nation on earth !!!

What effect has immigration had on this so called deterioration? The fraudsters, single mothers and lazy scroungers you speak of are not usually immigrants but people who have been bought up generation after generation to live off benefits. Do you want to do the low paid jobs that most of the immigrants do to support their families? Or does it really stick in your throat that some of them set up successful businesses and become very rich?
How exactly is your quality of life being so affected by speed cameras which just force you to obey the law? Do you wish there to be no law? Are speeding drivers to be allowed to mow down and kill people at will? If you've had so many remonstrations with traffic directors why is it so difficult for you to just obey the law and make your own life so confrontation free?
If you want to complain about politicians living off the back of the taxpaper and live in a society where they don't exist I suggest you go and find some remote outpost in the world that won't even have electricity probably and then we won't have to read your ill informed rants and you won't have a car as there'll be no roads or petrol stations so you won't have to remonstrate with traffic directors.

We obviously view things with a different prospective , I can clearly see that you confuse deliberate ploys initiated by local authorities to raise revenue by ripping off the motorists as a means of reducing road accidents. It is not a question of obeying the law and neither is it a question of living in a lawless society I would have thought that as one who projects intentionally an image of a successful business woman would at least have the intelligence to understand my post and not denigrate it to bullocks, there again I do not expect much common sense from you , being coloured as you previously stated that all English people are coloured .

I don't think it is. But perhaps (some) people of faith are less confident than others and need something they can 'rely on'? I don't know...

I've met many people who are devoted to their faith and still maintain a very sharp intellect. But there comes a time when every intelligent being must question their faith as science prove them wrong.

Although I identify myself with the Christian culture I'm not a devoted Christian. I wouldn't call myself an atheist. An agnostic perhaps. Each time I read the newspaper I see so much pain and suffering and I can simply not believe there is a God. I must admit that I would like a benevolent God to exist. I would like to know that there is a life after death too. I don't want to live my life and then just... well, die... like a burnt out candle. I think it's only human to want a life after death. Especially a life in heaven which is supposed to be... well, heavenly.

But what I want and what I think (or believe) is not necessarily the same thing.

However, when you look at the human body, or the bodily functions of any living creature. You only have to take a close look at a flower really. Look at how certain animals, plants etc in nature work in symbiosis with each other. Then it really makes you wonder. Was all these things created just by mere accident? Or is there some thought behind it all. Is there an biological engineering mastermind somewhere that created it all? It's an interesting philosophical question.

I believe in evolution and Darwinism though. But... let's for arguments sake say there is a God. If God created Adam and Eve this lovely couple where nothing but primates. Human prototypes, alpha versions if you will. Then development of the product Human™ was outsourced to Mother Nature and her developer tool called natural selection. Several beta versions came. Version 1.0, Homo Erectus was released. It was pretty successful. A new version, code named 'project Neanderthal' was released. It failed as Mother Nature made the mistake to promote a far better competing product named Homo Sapiens pretty much simultaneously. Mother Nature also decided to release the small sized Homo Floresiensis which unfortunately failed miserably. Homo Sapiens was considered the ultimate product. But it has received some minor maintenance updates throughout the years mostly to adapt it to the international market and the environmental circumstances throughout the world.

Joking aside, I have to admit that I've thanked God a couple of times (just in case, lol). Once I had a car accident. Someone rammed the side of my car. He was doing 100 km/h. My car was cut in half right behind me. I was very thankful that I could get out of the wreck and all body parts were in place. I've also thanked God that my children were born beautiful and healthy.

For the record, I do not consider myself less intelligent than the average person. And what is intelligence anyway? Should it be measured in IQ or EQ? I've scored very high on IQ tests. Does that make me intelligent? IQ gets you through school and EQ gets you through life. You need both in order to be successful.
