If one wishes to possess a dog (providing one intends to follow procedures responsibly) one may apply to the Battersea Dog's Home and secure a pet for a fee of about £60. 00.

Of course there are certain legal formalities to such ambitions and the suitability of the applicant and the environment to which the dog is to be introduced to, come under close scrutiny.

Not so in the case of teenaged 'Single Mums' however, thousands of them may be seen parading the streets of every corner of the nation, fags dangling from the corner of their mouths, made up to the nines and discussing their 'entitlements' having contributed nothing to the society they now depend upon for their every need.

The lazy 'Oiks' that may have sired the offspring may be observed with their feet up in front of 'The Telly', fag dangling and clutching a can of 'Special Brew', probably 'Stoned' and devoid of any ambition, fully supported by the nation they are so ready to condemn if the 'Social Security Money' does not fully cover their requirements.

On the day they 'Sign On', they DRIVE to the Social Security Office and slouch in the chairs mumbling about how long they have to wait while the 'Immigrant' (who deals with their indolent attitudes ) bears the brunt of their complaints, often subjected to racial abuse since they are perceived to be better off than the one who refuses to seek gainful employment.

Now drive back home to the 'Council Flat' where Mum in her nightdress is having a fag in front of the 'Telly' whilst the little toddler (source of income) patters about in his dirty nappy waiting for Daddy to come home (if he BE the Daddy).

Across town, the 'Dog' is doing fine.

So how to solve the problem ?...............Dead Easy !!...............

There should be no such thing as a 'Motor' in such a situation, how could there be ?, those who work for a living can scarcely afford to run AND maintain one to the standards of safety required by law.

Factory work-shops should be established in every area, the function of which would be to produce basic bicycles for the use of those who need transport to seek employment, any who do not wish to work (or seek it) should be treated with the contempt that they themselves exhibit when dealing with the 'Immigrants' they are so fond of abusing.

As for Mum, she could be similarly employed in the bicycle factories, assisting the 'Oiks' and perhaps gaining a little self respect for themselves at the same time.

I doubt if many of those I have described would consider fleeing their homeland (other than for their drunken expeditions to Spain (or Cyprus) or 'Sarfend' if the Social Money doesn't run to a trip abroad.

Don't worry about the 'Dog', it will be well looked after.

Don't worry about the 'Immigrants', they will look after themselves and are probably MORE entitled to assistance than Mum and 'Oik'.

Finally, don't laugh, THIS is the kind of society the UK would like to introduce (by force if necessary) to other nations which are fully aware of just what is on offer.

I wonder why they are so reluctant to accept the gift of 'Democracy' ?.

If it wasn't so laughable, it would make you cry.

A very accurate observation of some Brits. A 23 year old single Mum I know who doesn't work found a short cut to getting a council property by somehow getting in to a women's refuge. Within a few weeks she had a house offered to her. She was a bit put out as it didn't have any where for her to park her car! Sad to say it is years newer than mine! Did i go wrong somewhere?!

dizzy, welcome to the forum, good luck with your postings and thank you for your positive response to my 'Tongue in Cheek' observations.

Are you British, Bill?

I'm honestly not quite sure Jerry ~ the English language isn't my mother tongue and the UK is not the place I was bought up but I did live there from the age of eight years old ~ so I suppose you could say I'm British ~ I certainly don't find anything distasteful or wrong about being called British that's for sure.

But I will say that unlike some others on this forum I'm very gratefull to the UK for initially taking my family in when we were in need, then providing me with a good standard of education followed by a excellent standard of living ~ apart from not being able to speak english when I arrived and the various problems that causes I certainly have no complaints at all.

I really can't understand some Cypriots who have lived most of their lives in the UK ~ taken advantage of the education System ~ secured good jobs that have enabled them to live a decent life ~ then they slag off the UK and the British ~ talk about biting the hand that's fed them .

There really are some strange and ungrateful people about.

I think we have a case here of 'the Blind Man and his Benefactor' .

Such a 'Blind Man' was standing with his cap outstretched and begging.

Along came a thief and stole the contents of his cap causing the man to cry out in anguish.

The thief returned and upon being told of the man's distress gave him a generous portion of what he had stolen and thus secured the friendship of the 'Blind Man'.

The thief then offered to stand guard over the 'Blind Man's' cap and suggested it should be placed on the ground in front of him.

The thief now lives on the proceeds of his ingenuity to this day and the 'Blind Man' will always be grateful for his help.

Fortunately, there are some who are not so 'Blind', perhaps there are some strange and ungrateful people among their ranks.

Oracle, such a joy to be greeted on this splendid morning with words of such glowing praise, I thank you for acknowledging the value of my (somewhat philosophical) post which I fear may be a little beyond the comprehension of many of those endowed with less intelligence than yourself.

I considered my little 'Parable' and it's insertion at this point to be of some consequence, since it may serve to awaken those who have been lulled into the acceptance of past misdemeanours perpetrated by those that they now so fervently admire.

As to myself, my memories coupled with my recent experiences, allow me to view current local and world-wide situations with a little more clarity than that of a 'Spotty teenaged internet Freak' (excuse the pun) and if I may be so bold, I consider myself to be rationality personified, to insist otherwise is unthinkable.

In my very humble opinion (that is)

Thank you once again and DO have a most delightful day, you have certainly put a spring in my step this morning.
