"It's red... " something like that, that's all I understand, maybe the lights for the car were red.

Been there ~ done that ~ the only difference is I punched the guy when he got out of the car.

Bike was a complete write off ~ I felt really strange about 3 to 4 hours later which lasted for quite a while and I put that down to shock.

Daft bugger made a complaint against me to the police for hitting him :( .

I threw myself on to the roof of his car a fraction of a second before impact ~ as I used to do trails / scrambling riding I was luckily used to throwing my self ( frequently ) off a bike :) .

The only injuries were bruises everywhere and my signet ring was squashed on my finger ( haven't a clue how that happened) this was sorted by another motorist using a pair of pliers from his tool kit  .

I also had no helmet on as it was the days before wearing helmets became law  .

I've had a few close escapes on a motor bike bubbles but I must admit that was one of the most frightening.

The guy was charged with dangerous driving which was later reduced to driving without due care etc and failing to stop at a red traffic light.

He dropped the charge of assault as he had prodded me forcibly a couple of times whilst he was shouting that it was my fault and witnesses had mentioned this to the police

There was a ambulance called but stupidly I didn't go to the hospital .

I would imagine lots of motor cyclists have had many close calls but that one was a bit to close for me considering the possible outcome
