Nothing here, perhaps iceman can inform us and maybe you can provide us with some evidence.

In the meantime I hear the teachers union over there has just found out that only 34% of the kids in schools over there are TC!!!!! Think you have bigger problems right now.

Source: Sener Elcil (spelling definitely wrong) President of KTOS (teachers union)

Wouldn't surprise me, the Turkish settlers population is on the increase and the TC birth rate is stagnant, in 25 years you will have the Turkish settlers around the negotiating table who have absolutely no ties with you guys and could not give a shit if we united.

Negotiating with turkey now negotiating with turkey then...whats the difference, As you guys say, Turk leaves Turk comes, you think you're gonna scare us now? We've been under no illussions that turkey will give the final say on the solution and not the TC's. Those tc's that still believe that turkey's primary concern is to protect the tc's should ask themselves why Turkey was so willing to desert you in exchange for a base under the first Acheson plan which they accepted....(you remember, the one that gave Cyprus to Greece.)

Don't try and blame us for your stagnant birth rate ....

How many TCs did we lose from the south in 1974, about 70,000 was it ?

In that case so long as we don't end up with taking back more than 70,000 when we reach a solution ... I don't really mind whether they are "TC" or "Turk" ... you are all the same to me ... (Hence Turk-TC) .... it's your quantity that matters not your (reputed) quality .

I am sure those Anatolian settlers are just as nice people as the TCs ever were ... unless you are going to be "racist" about them now VP ....

Then theres no problem TC or Turk all the same as far as you are concerned, youll probably get more from Turks than us anyway.

The issue we have apart from the obvious one which is one of war crimes (importing of settlers and changing the demographics of a land under occupation....all resulting in preserving the image of turkey in the world as a backward medieval millitary led dictatorship)...it is also an emotional issue, where in case of unification, some of us believe that the TC's are our countrymen and we can live in the same country again.

Apart from these silly emotions that some of us may have, along with the war crimes turkey is committing....you're right....no problemo.

Can you do anything against these "war crimes"? if you could me feels you would have done it a long time ago therefore your new potential partners in 20 30 years times will be mainland Turks.

your problem, you deal with it. I know from the majority of tc;s on this forum that they do not feel as "accomodating" as you towards the settlers.

They made their choice in 1974 knowing full well that both ends of the stick are shitty, they have now realized that your end is more shitty than the other.
